General Catalog Description
The Reed-Rico B-105 two die cylindrical thread & form rolling machine is used for a wide range o
precision thread & form rolling applications. Thread & form diameters up to 1-1/2” can be roll
d with in-feed lengths to 3” & thru-feed lengths up to 20’.
The machine has two die spindles, one mounted on the fixed R.H. head, and one mounted on the hyd
aulically actuated L.H. head, each driven by a gear reduction unit through universal joints. An inve
ter variable speed drive provides infinite adjustment of die RPM. A tie bar unit provides additional
rigidity. The heads can be positioned in proper relation to the machine centerline by means of a sca
e setting. Skew & taper adjustments are also made to scale settings.
The coolant tank is an integral part of the main housing and has easy access for cleaning. The hy
raulic power pack is a separate unit for ease in cleaning, adjusting & maintenance. All electrical,
ydraulic & mechanical controls are grouped at the operator position for fast & accurate setting.
