One (1) Reconditioned Verson AI Model AF3 Flash/Butt Welder,
75 KVA, 440 VAC, 60 HZ, Single Phase:

Note: This machine was previously Remanufactured and will go
through a Recondition (tune-up) process prior to shipment.

Frame: The main frame and clamping heads are fabricated from
heavy steel construction and are of substantial proportions to give
maximum rigidity and eliminate deflections.

Platen Travel: Spacing between the electrodes will be
adjustable from .25 – 2.0 inches. Total ram travel when producing
welds will be approximately .50 inches with mechanical stops.
Micrometer adjustments are used for flash distance and end of travel.
Platen motion is by hydraulic cylinder with flow control for speed
adjustment and upset force adjustable to 6000 pounds.

Weld Dies: One (1) complete set of die inserts will be machined
to accept the radius and/or form of the work piece to be welded.
Any additional outboard locating or clamping fixtures will be an
additional price.

Clamps: The clamping units are vertical acting hydraulic cylinders
directly connected to the clamp ram. The clamping force is infinitely
adjustable up to a maximum of 3,000 pounds.

Initiation: Operation of the clamping units and weld sequence
is by dual push button arrangement.

Weld Control: An Entron TJS1000-1200T/202 weld control will be
supplied with 100uty 1200-ampere water-cooled SCR’s and 250
ampere disconnect.

Transformer: Machine style, 75 KVA, 440 volt, 60 HZ, water-cooled
transformer and four step tap switch. Secondary voltage is 4.7 to
5.8. Tap #1 is high; tap #4 is low.

Machine Sequencing: An Allen Bradley SLC 500 series solid state
programmable microprocessor will control all the automatic and manual
motions on the machine.
